I’m focused on Idaho’s future. Will you join me?
This campaign is powered by everyday Idahoans like you.
A legacy of service.
A focus on the future.
Hello! I'm Monica Church, representative for Idaho's 19th District, Seat A. I am proud to serve my hometown, a community my family has lived in for generations.
After nearly two decades as a public school educator, I took my oath of office in 2024 with a deep resolve to advocate for Idaho’s students, teachers, and public schools. Public schools are the great equalizer, particularly in predominantly rural states like Idaho, serving as the essential hearts of our communities. As a legislator and proud union member, I am committed to upholding our constitutional mandate to protect these schools and deliver on the promise of free, uniform public education, even when challenges arise.
Beyond the classroom, my commitment to service remains strong. I proudly serve on the boards of the Andrus Center for Public Policy in the School of the Environment at Boise State and the Sawtooth Society in Stanley, Idaho, working to preserve and protect Idaho’s wild and scenic spaces. I am also honored to be an appointed Ethics Commissioner for the City of Boise and an Idaho Delegate for the United States Global Leadership Coalition in Washington, D.C.
As the granddaughter of great Idaho public servants, Cecil and Carol Andrus and Frank and Bethine Church, my dedication to the state of Idaho and commitment to service runs deep. I strive to honor their enduring love for Idaho and her people, and their values of integrity, conservation, and opportunity. Serving in elected office is another chapter in my lifelong journey to serve our state and defend the institutions that keep our democracy strong.

As promised, in the Idaho Legislature, I have committed to:
Prioritize fully funded K-12 education, pre-k investment, and ensuring affordable and equitable access to higher education and technical schools.
Partnering with pro-public education policymakers to secure state funding for Career and Technical Education (CTE) endorsements for current Idaho teachers.
Building a statewide coalition to replicate and expand the Boise School District’s early childhood programs, with a focus on including qualified educators in every phase of implementation and evaluation.
Advancing land conservation and healthy environmental policies while promoting Idaho-grown, sustainable, science-based agricultural products and practices.
Working with policymakers in impacted communities to attain a local tax option for cities and counties to meet the needs of their constituents and safeguard Idaho’s most valued resources - children, the elderly, public health, and the environment.
Promoting economic development that values workers’ rights, uplifts small businesses, and drives sustainable growth throughout our state.
Expanding access to affordable healthcare, including mental health services, complete reproductive care, elder care, and preventive medicine.
Speaking up for the dignity, privacy, and essential human rights of Idahoans.
Defending voting rights and safeguarding access to the ballot for every generation of voters.
Supporting housing policies that ensure every Idahoan, regardless of background, has access to safe, abundant, and affordable housing.
Protecting our clean air, clean water, and access to Idaho’s cherished public lands.
